We're so happy that you are thinking of coming to visit us here at Woodstock Massage Therapy.

Have a quick peruse through our bios to see who you think would be the right therapist for your needs. We each have our own individual treatment styles, and areas of special interest.

Because we are all unique, there should be a therapist onsite that can help you reach your goals. And ... (just so you know) if you come to one of us and we feel like one of our other team members is better suited to help you with a specific condition, we have no problem suggesting a referral (we're cool like that ... no drama or competition here)!

Lindsay Van Asseldonk, RMT., CLT.
Owner, Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Lymphedema Therapist

Hi ya! I'm Lindsay (I own the business). I've been an RMT since 2007.

I can honestly say I never thought I'd grow up to be an RMT (I wanted to be a teacher), but I'm so grateful that I fell into this profession. I absolutely LOVE it, and can't picture myself doing anything else.

I graduated from the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy in Cambridge, ON., and I also have a B.A. in Anthropology from Western University (but back in my day we called it UWO ... am I dating myself yet?)

If I had to try and describe my treatment style, I would say that it is mellow, and on the more gentle side of things. If you're coming to see me because you're in pain, the LAST thing I want to do is cause you more pain (I DON'T subscribe to the no pain, no gain philosophy)! However, I'm not afraid of doing specific work and "getting in there" when it's appropriate.

That being said, if you're looking for someone to 'beat you up' I

m probably not the therapist for you.

Over the last half of my career, I've been focusing a lot of my training on Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Lymphedema Management. Not only do I use this technique in the treatment of Lymphedema, I have also had success using it for fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and other persistent pain conditions.

Some might say I'm a lifelong student. It is rare that I don't have plans to attend some sort of course or training. I've been fortunate enough to travel around North America studying lymphatic drainage with the Chikly Institute and the Academy of Lymphatic Studies. In 2016 I received certification in the Vodder Method of MLD and complete decongestive therapy.

In what little spare time I do have (running a business is time consuming ... but I LOVE IT), I enjoy traveling, eating (chocolate and cookies are my vices), hanging out with my pup, and trying to stay active. I will admit I love a good Netflix binge, so come prepared with recommendations!

See you on the table!

Joleen Dompierre, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist

Hey I'm Joleen! I've been a RMT since 2003 (crazy eh! I still feel like I'm 25 lol)

In high school I always thought I was going to be a Nurse, but then I received my first massage and I was hooked! I realized a natural approach to helping people was more my thing. I have never looked back. I love what I do so much that it doesn't feel like "a job."

I graduated from the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy in Kitchener ON.

I am the "get in there" therapist ( within your pain tolerance of course!!) Most clients say "I didn't even know my muscles were tight there!" "How did you find that knot so quickly?" That's not to say I can't give a great relaxation treatment that will leave you asleep on the table! Oh it's happened haha. My favourite condition to treat is headaches and I'm a big fan of prenatal massage. I did a continuing education course with Trimesters to further my knowledge with prenatal massage.

Outside of work, I am a busy mom of 2 busy boys that keep me on my toes and because life isn't chaotic enough we added another boy! A super energetic puppy! I love long distance running and beaching it with my toes the sand.

Pamela Tabor, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist

Hi there! I'm Pam and I've been an RMT since June 2006. I graduated from Sir Sandford Fleming College in Peterborough, ON. Since graduating, I have been practicing in Woodstock. I started out working in a clinic setting and then after a few years decided to work from home while starting my family.

I have two kids, Nolan and Addison. I worked from home for several years and then decided to get back into a clinic setting working with other RMT's again, and I have been so happy with the decision to join the team at Woodstock Massage Therapy!

Having gone through two pregnancies myself, I know what demands pregnancy can place on a woman's body. I have taken additional training in prenatal massage and enjoy working with my pregnant clients to help relieve some of the tension and discomfort women often feel throughout their pregnancies.

I have also taken additional training in infant massage and enjoy teaching this to parents to do daily massage at home. I usually have you bring baby in and I do some massage, while teaching you how to do at home massage for a great way to bond with your baby. There are a lot of benefits to infant massage, just google it and check them out!

I truly enjoy all aspects of massage therapy from relaxation to treatment of chronic pain or injuries. I will work with you to develop a treatment plan and help you to achieve your health and well-being goals.

I am committed to attend continuing education courses to keep up to date on skills and knowledge in the massage therapy world. I look forward to learning new skills to add to my knowledge base and offer different options for my clients.

We understand how pain can affect your life. We can help.
